Frequently asked questions about online coloring
Here are the most common questions about the Shark Pen library and online studio.
How do I start coloring online?
Open the Coloring Studio, choose an example from the library, or use Choose image to upload your own PNG, JPG, WEBP, or GIF.
Which images work best for coloring?
Black-and-white line art with clear outlines and closed areas works best. The studio protects dark outlines and uses color tolerance to fill nearby pixels.
How large can an uploaded image be?
Each image must be no larger than 10 MB. Smaller images with clear lines usually provide a smoother coloring experience.
What if I color the wrong area?
Use Undo or press Ctrl/Command + Z. You can also enable Eraser and click an area to restore its original line art.
Is my artwork uploaded to a server?
Locally uploaded images and canvas processing happen in the browser by default. Coloring does not automatically upload your work; library examples are delivered from the site image CDN.
How do I save or print a coloring page?
Click Download in the studio to save a PNG. The detail page also supports PDF download and direct printing for family or classroom use.
